"So 3008 or so 2000 and late?!"
So this past Sunday [June 28th], was the 2009 BET Awards show. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to attend this year but i did watch it in the comfort of my home. I was actually a bit surprised and disappointed. I felt the overall energy was lacking a bit. None of the performances seemed to really impress me. Even though it kept me somewhat entertained, I had completely lost interest half way through the show.
However i do want to give an honorable mention to Keri Hilson, who was also crowned " Best new artist". Even though her vocals weren't the best during her performance, I think she had overall outstanding energy.
Neyo and Jamie's performance of their song "She got her own" went well [and special shout out to the female dancer/ballerina on stage with them, she was on point!]. Beyonce vocals were amazing as usual, but i really wished she wouldn't of done "Ave maria" it's a beautiful song, but made for a boring performance. But apparently that didn't matter given the fact this "Diva" won two awards: Best female R&B artist, and Video of the year for "Single Ladies". She without a doubt deserved both, the woman is simply unstoppable.
And Jamie Foxx as a host was...well....
||Unfortunately all the video links of the performances have been removed from the web, so if you wanna see the performances for yourself you will have to catch the 2009 BET awards re runs.||
